Pocket PC

Introduction

We have produced a program for use on a Pocket PC using Windows C E 3.0 which takes output from the standard Feedback software. This software allows a stock take to be counted using the Pocket PC and produces an output file which is then returned to Feedback to replace the stock take input program.

Requirements

The workstation on which Feedback is running must have a copy of Microsoft’s ActiveSync installed to enable file transfers between the workstation and the Pocket PC. This must be installed on the workstation before a connection is established between the Pocket PC and the workstation. This software is usually supplied with the Pocket PC but can be downloaded from Microsoft’s website.

The Pocket PC must have a copy of the Windows CE Runtime system installed. This can be obtained free from Microsoft’s website.
